UPMC
Horizon honors interns and residents at banquet
West
Middlesex , PA — Four interns and four residents
were honored at UPMC Horizon’s annual Intern and Resident
Recognition Banquet on Friday, June 8, at Oak Tree Country Club,
West Middlesex.
Troy Anderson,
DO; Lee Farber, DO; Carolyn Harris, DO; and Christi Woods, DO; were
recognized for successfully completing the intern training program
at UPMC Horizon under the direction of Jerome H. Bonier, DO. Dr.
Bonier, a specialist in orthopedics, serves as the director of medical
education and coordinates the intern/residency programs at UPMC
Horizon.
Dr. Anderson
will continue his postgraduate training in an internal medicine
residency at UPMC Horizon. He is a graduate of Lake Erie College
of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa.
Dr. Farber will
continue his postgraduate training in a general surgery residency
at UPMC Horizon. He is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine, Philadelphia.
Dr. Harris will begin her postgraduate training in a nuclear medicine
residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va. She
is a graduate of Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pikeville,
Ky.
Dr. Woods will
begin her postgraduate training in an emergency medicine residency
at St. Vincent Medical Center, Erie, Pa. She is a graduate of Lake
Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie.
Also recognized
were Eric Ardinger, DO, and Jay Colbert, Jr., DO, for completing
family practice residencies under the direction of Aaron Listopad,
DO, family practice residency program director, and Kary Schroyer,
DO assistant family practice residency program director; Kimberly
England, DO, for completing an internal medicine residency under
the direction of Frederick Uberti, DO, internal medicine residency
program director and Roy Sartori, DO assistant internal medicine
residency program director; and Christopher Esper, DO, for completing
a general surgery residency under the direction of William Henwood,
DO, general surgery residency program director.
Dr. Ardinger
will enter into practice with Dr. Edward James in Coraopolis, Pa.
Dr. Colbert will enter into practice with the National Health Service
Corporations, Hoopeston, Ill. Dr. England will begin a fellowship
in rheumatology at Midwestern University Chicago Osteopathic School
of Medicine, Chicago. Dr. Esper will begin fellowship training in
vascular surgery at Southpointe Hospital, Warrensville Heights,
Ohio.
Continuing their
residency training at UPMC Horizon will be Marc Polecritti, DO,
and Zane Kelley, DO, in general surgery residencies. They will be
joined by first year resident Lee Farber, DO, and Stephen Bayuk,
DO.
