Wellness Center members can win prizes for losing pounds

Greenville, PA — The UPMC Horizon Wellness Center is offering its members a chance to compete for prizes while getting in shape for 2008.

The “Wellness Center Weigh Down,” co-sponsored by the Shenango Valley Mall, Hermitage, kicks off Thursday, Jan. 10. Cost to participate in the 12-week program is $36 (in addition to the Wellness Center membership fee) and includes weekly weigh-ins, education classes, and exercise programs, along with body fat percentage evaluation at the beginning and end of the program.

The participant who loses the most weight will win a $100 Shenango Valley Mall gift certificate and a three-month Wellness Center membership. The runner-up will receive a $50 mall gift certificate and a two-month Wellness Center membership, and the third place “loser” will receive a one-month Wellness Center membership.
