Spine
specialists to see patients at UPMC Horizon
Farrell,
PA — Two specialists with Greater Pittsburgh Neurological
Services – UPMC are now seeing patients at UPMC Horizon’s
Shenango Valley campus.
Neurosurgeons Ghassan K. Bejjani, MD and, Naman A. Salibi MD, both
specialize in spine surgery.
Dr. Bejjani
is board-certified in neurosurgery and earned his medical degree
from St. Joseph University Medical School, Beirut, Lebanon. He completed
an internship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Mich.; a neurosurgery
residency at George Washington University, Washington, D.C.; and
a pediatric neurosurgery residency at Children’s Hospital,
Washington, D.C. He also received additional training in France,
the United Kingdom, and Germany.
In addition
to spine surgery, Dr. Bejjani specializes in neuro-oncology and
cranial base surgery. He is a member of the North American Skull
Base Society, the International College of Surgeons, the American
Association of Neurological Surgeons, the World Association of Lebanese
Neurosurgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Salibi earned
his medical degree and a master’s degree in neurophysiology
from the American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon. He completed
his neurosurgical residency training and American board requirements
at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. He spent the first
12 years of his career on the clinical staff at UCSF, San Francisco,
CA, and in private practice in Santa Cruz, Calif., where he was
a pioneer in spinal surgery and spinal stabilization techniques.
After returning from an overseas assignment, he joined UPMC with
main interests in minimal access spinal techniques (MAST) and other
minimally invasive spinal stabilization procedures. Dr. Salibi brings
a vast experience spanning more than 23 years in academic and private
practice in all areas of spinal care and cutting-edge spinal surgery
techniques.
Dr. Bejjani
and Dr. Salibi see patients at the Park Medical Building, 2120 Likens
Lane, Farrell, adjacent to UPMC Horizon’s Shenango Valley
