UPMC
Passavant thyroid specialist to see patients at the Womancare Center
Hermitage,
PA — Scott Celin, MD, board-certified ear, nose,
and throat specialist with UPMC Passavant, will begin seeing patients
at the Womancare Center of UPMC Horizon this month.
Ear, nose, and
throat specialists treat a variety of conditions, including head
and neck cancer, thyroid disorders, hearing problems, swallowing
disorders, and tonsillitis. As part of the Surgical Oncology program
at UPMC Horizon, Dr. Celin specializes in the surgical treatment
of thyroid and related cancers.
A graduate of
Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Dr. Celin
completed a residency at the University of Pittsburgh and a fellowship
in facial, plastic, and reconstructive surgery at the University
of California. He practices with Metropolitan Ear, Nose, and Throat
Associates, Inc., whose physician team cares for the Pittsburgh
Penguins hockey team and the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team. Dr.
Celin also is president of the UPMC Passavant and UPMC Passavant
Cranberry medical staffs, a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head
and Neck Surgery and the American Medical Association, and a fellow
in the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Celin is
the latest physician to join the UPMC Passavant multi-specialty
surgery suite at the Womancare Center. Other specialties offered
in the suite include surgical oncology with a focus on liver, pancreatic,
and biliary tract cancers, and gynecologic oncology.
