UPMC
Horizon appoints Vice President of Operations
Farrell
and Greenville, PA — Glenn Riley has been appointed
Vice President of Operations at UPMC Horizon. As vice president,
Mr. Riley will be responsible for a number of hospital ancillary
and support departments.

commitment to develop high quality hospital services and work collaboratively
with our physicians and employees to improve patient care,”
says Joel Yuhas, hospital president. “Glenn demonstrates daily
UPMC Horizon’s commitment to bring the benefits of academic
medicine to the doorsteps of our community through our relationship
with UPMC. Under his tenure, Glenn has facilitated numerous technological
improvements that, without UPMC, would otherwise be unavailable
in our area.” states Joel Yuhas, hospital president.
Mr. Riley previously
served as Program Director of Ancillary Services at UPMC Horizon.
During his 34-year career at UPMC Horizon he has served in a variety
of leadership positions. Additionally, as a lifelong resident of
Greenville, Mr. Riley’s contributions to the Greenville community
are many.
During his tenure,
Mr. Riley has spearheaded numerous innovations in technology including
implementation of STENTOR, an on-line imaging program, voice recognized
transcription system, technology improvements in the hospitals’
lab and pharmacy systems, installation of PET/CT capability and
introduction of the area’s first CT scanner capable of ultrafast
imaging.

Mr. Riley earned
a certificate in radiologic technology from United Hospitals School
of X-ray Technology, a bachelor’s degree in health sciences
from Western Michigan University, and a master’s degree in
health service administration from Gannon University. He is certified
by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and is a member
of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American
Hospital of Radiology Administrators.
Locally, Mr.
Riley serves on the board of directors of Community Counseling Centers,
Woodland Place, The Ridgewood at Shenango, Shenango Valley Open
MRI, the Greenville Area Economic Development Corporation, and the
Greenville Industrial Day Committee. He also is a member and past
president of the Greenville Lions Club and serves on the board of
associates of Thiel College, the advisory board of Alliance Mobile
Imaging/UPMC, and the Clarion University Allied Health Committee.
