Smoking Cessation During Pregnancy

In this study, pregnant women between the ages of 18 and 45 who smoke can receive smoking cessation counseling interventions to help them quit smoking. Participants who consent to participate will be assigned to one of three groups:

(1) Counseling only

(2) Hypnotherapy, single session with counseling

(3) Hypnotherapy; multiple sessions with counseling

The study will determine if adding hypnotherapy to the counseling intervention improves the quit rate when compared to counseling alone.
