About UPMC
Horizon
Founded in 1906, UPMC Horizon strives to be the premier health
care delivery system in Mercer County. UPMC Horizon, with campuses
in Greenville and Shenango Valley, offers programs of clinical
expertise in primary care medicine, cardiology, and oncology services;
ophthalmology services; and sleep medicine. In addition, UPMC
Horizon is among the leading hospitals in Pennsylvania in terms
of the total number of joint replacements provided and is known
throughout the mid-Atlantic region as a major orthopaedic center.
UPMC Horizon has been affiliated with the University
of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute and UPMC
Cancer Centers since 1993. UPMC Horizon merged with the University
of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in September 1998.
UPMC Horizon
prides itself on providing quality care to all patients. The Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations accredits
