Requirements
Individuals 14 years of age and older are invited to apply for a volunteer position. In accordance with Department of Health regulations, potential volunteers must receive a clearance for tuberculosis. This test can be administered by the applicant's physician or by the hospital's Occupational and Environmental Medicine Department during normal business hours. Additional clearances may be required, depending on the work area. A minimum of 40 hours of service is expected. Volunteer placements are made with consideration given to the interests, availability, and suitability of the volunteer, as well as the needs of the hospital.
